Launching the Corvus Mind website
Welcome to the website of Corvus Mind, a French-speaking open source intelligence team. This launch is a chance to tell you who we are, how we work, and what you will find here.
Who we are
Corvus Mind is an OSINT (Open Source INTelligence) team that trains and competes in 100% open source CTFs. Behind the crow lies a simple conviction: in a connected world, most of what matters is already public. The whole job is to find it, cross-check it and verify it.
We love investigations that start from a detail (a photo, a reused username, a forgotten archive) and that, through cross-checking, end up delivering a solid answer.
What we do
Our field covers several complementary disciplines, which a good investigation almost always combines:
- people search: linking identifiers and accounts to rebuild a digital footprint;
- geolocation: finding where an image was taken from its visual clues;
- SOCMINT: reading the traces left on social media;
- image analysis: metadata, reverse search, authenticity checks.
Our first results
Two competitions got us started:
- DeepThreats 2026 (Campus OSINT - DGA): 25th out of 491 teams, in a 100% OSINT CTF.
- Opération Culot - Bpifrance (#BIG2026): 3rd out of 223 online, 5th out of 24 on-site.
Details on the competitions and partner organisations are on the results page.
Our code of conduct
One rule is non-negotiable for us: work only from public and legally accessible sources. No intrusion, no bypassing of access controls, no impersonation. We observe, cross-check and document, with respect for privacy and the legal framework. If getting a piece of information requires deceiving someone or forcing access, it is no longer OSINT.
What you will find here
The site will grow step by step. Coming up:
- an introduction to OSINT: disciplines, method and ethical framework;
- a toolbox of the tools we use, with the difference between the free and premium versions for each;
- the profiles of the team’s members;
- and, soon, our CTF writeups and technical articles.
What’s next
We keep training, taking part in CTFs and documenting what we learn. Writeups will come as competitions go by: our way of giving back some of what the OSINT community has passed on to us.
A question, a proposal, a collaboration? The contact form is there for that. Thanks for visiting, and see you very soon.
